About the service

What does BrightKeel do?+
I help scaling B2B businesses build their marketing strategy, with AI built into how it runs, then coach their team to deliver it.
Who do you work with?+
B2B services businesses, roughly 10 to 100 people, often scaling after funding or making their first proper marketing hire.
Do you do the marketing for us?+
No. I set the strategy and coach your in-house person to deliver it and build the AI in. The aim is a team that can run this without me.
What's the AI part?+
AI runs through the whole strategy, from customer research to content to reporting. Your team learns to use it through the training library, and the strategy is designed to run on it from the start.
What if we don't have a marketing person yet?+
Many clients start their first hire around the same time. I help you get the right person and coach them from day one.
How long does the strategy take?+
A few weeks, once your customer interviews are booked.
Where are you based?+
Bath, working with clients across the UK.

AI adoption for leaders

What is AI adoption for leaders?+
A programme that helps your leadership team get the AI adoption they want. It gives you a clear framework, agreed rules and a plan your whole business can follow. It's delivered through your own internal AI champion, or run for you as an organisation-wide programme.
Why does a business need an AI adoption plan?+
Without a plan, AI is either underused and missing opportunities, or used in pockets of failed experiments in ways that put the business at risk. A plan gives everyone the same rules and the same priorities.
What is the UP Universal Parameters™ Framework?+
It's the framework I developed for successful AI adoption and management. It gives your leadership team one agreed set of rules that every AI decision is tested against, in every department. It has three parts: universal parameters (your AI policy and guardrails, business strategy, objectives for AI, and your brand, values, tone of voice and ethics), function workstreams (each department gets its own audit and plan), and shared learning (deciding which data and knowledge from each department should feed a shared data set, so AI can help you spot trends and business insight).
What are the two ways to work with you on AI adoption?+
The first is Become Your Internal AI Champion, for smaller businesses that want someone in-house to lead AI adoption. Your project lead gets training, the UP framework, tools and one-to-one coaching from me. The second is an Organisation-Wide AI Change Programme, for larger businesses with multiple functions and departments. I run it as a project for you, or alongside your team.
Who should lead AI adoption in our business?+
If you're a smaller business, it can be a capable person already on your team. They need a method, the right tools and an experienced adviser in their corner, and the Internal AI Champion programme gives them all three. Larger businesses with several departments are who the organisation-wide programme is for, and the strategy it produces is owned at board level.
How much does AI adoption support cost?+
The Internal AI Champion programme starts from £1,800. The organisation-wide programme is scoped and priced individually, depending on the size of the business and the functions involved.
Will we end up with an AI policy?+
Yes. Both routes include support developing an AI policy. On the champion route your project lead is supported to develop it. On the organisation-wide programme it's built in a universal parameters session with your board or senior team.
What will we have at the end?+
On the champion route: a confident internal lead, a policy in place, and a prioritised list of opportunities your team has bought into, with the know-how staying in your business. On the organisation-wide programme: an AI strategy owned at board level, a roadmap for every department, and a clear view of where to invest first.

Pricing & the fractional model

How much does a fractional CMO cost in the UK?+
UK fractional CMO rates usually run from around £700 to £1,400 a day, or £2,000 to £10,000 a month on retainer, depending on experience and how involved they are. My own pricing is fixed and published: a Marketing Assessment from £2,500, a £10,000 Marketing Strategy Foundations package, and ongoing coaching and advisory support from £1,500 a month. Fractional CMO involvement is scoped and priced individually, depending on what the business needs.
What's the difference between a fractional CMO and a marketing agency?+
A fractional CMO decides what to do. A
